## Our Story

**Sedai is the pioneer of autonomous cloud optimization.** We kill toil — so your team can focus on bringing new products to life.

Our story begins when Suresh Mathew & Benji Thomas built the first autonomous system to optimize cloud resources, while working together at PayPal. The company managed the world’s largest OpenStack cloud, and it processed millions of transactions per day. 

Ultimately, the autonomous system that Suresh & Benji developed was so successful, it was the only system PayPal trusted to make changes to prod, during peak hours. They realized that autonomous CloudOps was the future.

Suresh & Benji then founded Sedai — with the goal of eliminating toil for millions of engineers & cloud architects around the world. Today, we are a team of more than 100 builders, who are making that mission a reality for our customers, from Fortune 500 companies to fast-growing startups to government agencies.

But we’re just getting started. Because every engineer deserves to optimize on autopilot.
